My name is Karina and I am currently an undergraduate computer science student at Carnegie Mellon University.

Though a computer scientist by profession, I spend most of my free time doing free lance design work. This includes communication design (brochures and advertisements), logos, T-shirt graphics, website graphics, and resume design. If any of these things interest you, give me a shout at kechow@andrew.cmu.edu

Hey,

I actually found your deviantart through your Carnegie Mellon student blog.

I just wanted to say great work on your art, and congratulations on having been accepted into Carnegie Mellon. I'm just going to be a Junior in high school next year but I've wanted to go to their School of Computer Science for so long. Main issues are regarding actually being accepted (which I might pull off), and being able to afford the tuition (which I DON'T think we can pull off).

Anyway, good luck with your studies and let me know if you've got any time to talk maybe.

The name is Rodrigo Bell btw & I live in Santa Barbara, CA.
(I don't have any art, sadly)

Hey! I'm glad you like my artwork and that you read my blog!

Don't worry too much about tuition...I know it'll be hard to convince your parents (I know it was hard to convince mine), but there are always loans you can take out AND DON'T FORGET as a CS major from CMU, getting a job and internships is a piece of cake (hell, I'm working for Adobe this summer, and I clearly am not the best CS student).

Go where you want to go. The worst thing you could do to yourself is to go to a school and always have the thought of what life WOULD have been like having gone somewhere else on your mind.

Good luck!
